60th Grand Prix of the Canton of Aargau UCI 1.1 – Colin Stüssi in close contact with the top stars in 18th place

The biggest one-day classic in Switzerland in Leuggeren over 174 kilometers and almost 3000 meters of altitude was hard work against the numerous World Tour pros. At the warm-up for the Tour de Suisse (start next Sunday), Lidl-Trek, BORA-hansgrohe, Bahrain-Victorious, Jayco-Alula and many more were at the start line.

After a varied exchange of blows between the big names, the Belgian Maxim van Gils (Lotto-Dstny) won. Second was the Italian Alberto Bettiol (EF-Education EasyPost), ahead of Roger Adria (SPA / BORA-hansgrohe).

As the second-best Continental rider, just behind former Team Vorarlberg rider Riccardo Zoidl, Colin Stüssi finished an outstanding 18th.

“This performance cannot be rated highly enough, as some World Tour teams have not had a rider finish ahead of Colin. This shows his current state of form, which is on the up. Jannis Peter and Lukas also finished the race. Pirmin Benz had to retire with a defect, but we can still be satisfied with this performance here!” said Werner Salmen (Sports Director)
