Nothing new at the Tour du Loir et Cher UCI 2.2 – Big crash prevents Konychev sprint
After the eventful opening stage yesterday, team mechanic Riko Räim’s equipment had to be restored first and foremost. The second stage on Thursday from Selles-sur-Cher to Fougeres-sur-Bievre over 184 kilometers was another speed stage.
Alexander Konychev is brought into position by his teammates. Everything is set for the “massive sprint”. At the 5000 meter mark, in tenth position, another big crash in the peloton. Again, it was a stroke of luck that no Vorarlberg rider had to hit the ground, but all the preparatory work was in vain for the result.
Simon Dehairs (BE – Team Alepecin Deceuninck Development) wins the sprint of the riders who came through. Team Vorarlberg will try again tomorrow!
