Colin Stüssi wins Austrian Cycling League race in Purgstall – Felix Stehli third – Team Vorarlberg also wins team classification

– July 14th 2024

From kilometer zero, it was Team Vorarlberg that kept the throttle to the finish. In the fourth Bundesliga race over 166 kilometers in Purgstall, the leading groups were constantly changing. Team Vorarlberg professionals were always represented in each one. On the difficult circuit, Colin Stüssi and Felt-Felbermayr pro Sebastian Schönberger pulled away in the final section of the race.

Colin Stüssi won the two-man sprint ahead of Schönberger and was delighted with his first win of the season in the 2024 Cycling League.

“It’s so much fun to ride a bike race when you can take control of the race and go on the offensive with such a cohesive team. It was a perfect test of form for the Tour of Portugal!” Colin Stüssi after the race

Felix Stehli completes a perfect podium with third place. Lukas Rüegg was equally strong in seventh place, followed by team captain Lukas Meiler. Dominik Amann finishes eleventh, Nikolas Riegler 17th and Laurin Nenning also shows up today with 23rd place. The team also secured the team ranking today and improved to third place in the league standings.
