Close to his first victory – Dominik Amann finishes second in the 48th Rund um Schönaich!
The 25-year-old from Vorarlberg finished an excellent second in the 140-kilometer elite race in Schönaich, Germany, on Easter Monday. In the elimination race on the difficult circuit, Amann decimated the leading group lap by lap. In the final, he was ultimately only beaten by German pro Dominik Röder (P & S Benotti). Jannis Peter finished eleventh. Pirmin Benz (22nd), Nikolas Riegler (35th).
Dominik Amann: “It was very intense until the leading group came together. Halfway through the race there were still five of us. In the last of 16 laps there were three of us. The German Röber was a bit stronger today, but second place gives me confidence for the next races!”
