The 24-year-old Swiss rider wins the 105-kilometer race in difficult conditions and adds his name to the long list of winners of this traditional classic in South Africa. Felix Stehli is pleased with his late form and took advantage of his aggressive riding style. He won ahead of the two South Africans Kent Main and Emile van Niekerk, the African U23 champion.
Felix Stehli after the race: “ It feels good to still be at a high level in the fall. The race was not easy in the rain and 15 degrees. The copied course was perfect for me. Most people didn’t know me and that was my advantage for success. I’ll stay in South Africa for a while and do a few more races on the MTB!”
