Team Vorarlberg pro Alexander Konychev wins the 63rd Tour of Malopolska UCI 2.2 – last stage had to be aborted – Kilian Feurstein in second place at the Schönberg Race

The overall winner of the 63rd Tour of Malopolska in Poland is Alexander Konychev from Team Vorarlberg! The 26-year-old Italian, who lives in San Marino, also secured the sprint classification after four days. Second, three seconds behind, was the Finn Kasper Borremans (Bahrain Victorious Devo). Third was the Czech Tomas Pridal from Team Elkov-Kasper. Colin Stüssi in seventh, Emanuel Zangerle in ninth and Jannis Peter in 13th also secured victory in the team classification out of a total of 29 teams.

Another tour victory in the books of the 27-year-old Team Vorarlberg history!

Abort of the final stage

The final stage on Sunday from Makow Podhalanski to Przehyba had to be abandoned due to heavy rain and a lack of safety for the riders. So yesterday’s result counts.

Kilian Feurstein sprints to second place at the Schönberg Whitsun race!

When Toni Jung the Alsace baker and Dominik Dietrich (Hairstyling Dietrich) call, then it’s off to Schönberg in Bavaria! At the Whitsun criterium in the second home of Team Vorarlberg, there was a fight to the last sprint until the podium was decided. And here, after 90 laps and 72 kilometers, the German Florenz Knauer (Team 54/11) had the fastest legs. But already in second place was 21-year-old Kilian Feurstein from Vorarlberg after a super strong performance. Third place went to the German Daniel Schrag (Team Max Solar). Pirmin Benz completes a strong Team Vorarlberg performance with fifth place!

Next race: On June 13, the Squadra Vorarlberg will compete against numerous World Tour teams in the top-class Grand Prix of the Canton of Aargau UCI 1.1 in Switzerland!
