Daniel Geismayr back to Team Vorarlberg with his old strength – Dominik Amann and Pirmin Benz extend their contracts!
He wants to give it another go! Daniel Geismayr (35) returns to Team Vorarlberg and wants to be among the front runners, especially in the tough one-day races and tours. The smart Austrian Geismayr certainly has the confidence to do so. In his four years with Team Vorarlberg (2017 – 2020), he shone as a noble helper for his captains in the mountains. After all, the multiple MTB and cyclo-cross national champion won a silver and bronze medal at the MTB Marathon World Championships. Team Vorarlberg is delighted about his return, as they can rely on his skills on the tours almost like a bank.
“I’m going into next year full of motivation and anticipation together with the familiar Team Vorarlberg. It has always been a little dream of mine to ride purely road races, even if I don’t stay away from mountain bike and gravel races completely,” says Daniel Geismayr

The 23-year-old German Pirmin Benz brings even more racing kilometers with him. Benz’s services will be indispensable, especially in the tours. All the riders describe him as one of the most valuable riders in the team when it comes to “mending holes and setting the pace”.
Pirmin Benz on the extension: “I felt comfortable right from the start. You grow together more and more over time. I’m already really keen to be back on the start line with the team for the third year, to fight and show the others what you can achieve with team spirit. I’m looking forward to next season and am proud to be part of the team and Team Vorarlberg.”
